Alison & i left for the World show in Bratislava on Tuesday night staying overnight in a Travel lodge near the Euro tunnel we set off early Wednesday morning for our long trip. We made it into Germany by late tea time & decided to stay in another travel lodge starting out again the next morning to arrive in Bratislava byt late afternoon. it was to be an exciting 2 days with the Slovakian Leonberger club show on the Friday & the World show the next day.
We were chuffed to bits when Breeze came 2nd in open bitch class recieving a Res CAC, Lanta was first time in a Ch class up against some very well known Ch dogs he looked well & moved out well but his mind was on other things like bitches in full season hanging around the ring everyone over here knows the whinning Lanta does well he was 10 times worse i had a job hanging onto him LOL. Couldnt believe it when he won the class then went onto win BD then BOB & his 1st CAC it was a long day standing round in the cold & rain but so worth it we went back to the Hotel with 3 huge trophies & 2 bags of dog food had a hot shower & something to eat ready to get up early again for the World show the next day.
Up again at 5am off to park the car 15mins away then to get on a bus laid on for the show 2 dogs and bags in tow, to say the show was chaos was an understatement nothing starts on time everyone on top of each other bitches in full season, no one cleans up after their dogs, bitches been mated outside the show building what a nightmare. Lanta was bouncing of the ceiling but i felt he looked good in the class of 14 Chs & i was proud to show him off, the judge looked very sternly then after seeing each dog began selecting his 4 places in re-verse order imagine my surprise when he pulled Lanta out into 1st place OMG i was shocked excited & totally gobsmacked then he was awarded BD, BOB awarded the CAC & CACIB & as he had won 2 CACs he is now entitled to have the Slovakian Ch Title, Alison & Breeze also won their class & a CAC brilliant result for the Kwenobe Kennel we are so proud the long long journey was so worth it we arrived back in England Monday afternoon safe & sound thanks to Alison who was our sole driver she had done a brilliant job thanks Alison.
